Check if your miner is properly grounded
When you see that all the chips in the state of the miner become "XXXXXX", it may not be that the hash board is faulty, but the grounding problem of the mining machine.
As shown in the figure below:
When the miner is not properly grounded, the electricity may leak from the wiring system to the miner's outer body/casing (because it is a metal surface), which will damage the control board and the hash board in the long run.
Ensure that the voltage is lower than 0.3V to extend the shelf life of the miner. On the contrary, a voltage exceeding 1V will damage the miner.
  • Get a professional electrician to check and repair the grounding.

Check whether your miner is properly grounded by the following methods:
1. This method requires that the miner does not touch any metal shelves.
Adjust the multimeter to A/C 220V. When the miner is running, put the test lead of the multimeter on the exposed part of the aluminum body/case and the metal frame of the mining machine.
  • Voltage means that there is no grounding or the grounding is incorrect; immediate action is required;
  • If no voltage is detected, it means that the grounding is normal and there is no leakage.

2. This method requires that the metal frame of the miner’s Ethernet interface does not touch the panel of the miner’s control board.
Adjust the multimeter to A/C 220V. When the miner is running, put the test lead of the multimeter on the aluminum body/case of the mining machine and the metal frame of the Ethernet port (see the figure below).
  • Voltage means that there is no grounding or incorrect grounding; immediate action is required.
  • If no voltage is detected, it means that the grounding is correct and there is no leakage.
